Far up the dim twilight fluttered Moth-wings of vapour and flame: The lights danced over the mountains, Star after star they came. The lights grew thicker unheeded, For silent and still were we; Our hearts were drunk with a beauty Our eyes could never see. ~ AE ~

Nice first shot of the HCM. I’ve only seen them twice. The first time a got a number of decent shots but the second time, a few years later, it was too far away and and kept moving away so couldn’t get any closer that about 15-20 feet. I think he was telling me I’d already had my one chance at photographing one. Mother Nature’s creatures seem to be a bit snarky at times. 🙂
