I was just thinking the other day how lucky we are that we can get almost any fruit or vegetable at almost any time of the year, but also I do miss the seasonallity of how it used to be. The anticipation of apples in the fall, organges and tangerines around Christmas, strawberries in May, etc, etc, etc.
It’s the same thing with the old Disney classics of Snow White and the Seven Drawfs, Pinocchio, Bambi and even movies like The Wizard of Oz. With recorded media or on demand you can see them just about anytime you want. When I was little I lived in a small town and all the items I just mentioned only came to the theater about once every seven years. We would get pretty excited when we’d learn that the movie Davy Crockett or Oid Yeller was comingto town again soon.

I can relate David, funny how those things quietly changed. Most of food cost is in shipping so those old prices were better also.
