Lakota Prayer
Wakan Tanka, Great Mystery,
teach me how to trust
my heart,
my mind,
my intuition,
my inner knowing,
the senses of my body,
the blessings of my spirit.
Teach me to trust these things
so that I may enter my Sacred Space
and love beyond my fear,
and thus Walk in Balance
with the passing of each glorious Sun.
According to the Native People, the Sacred Space is the space between exhalation and inhalation. To Walk in Balance is to have Heaven (spirituality) and Earth (physicality) in Harmony.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful thoughtful Lakota prayer…who are we to think we invented mindfulness in the 21st century! Deeply spiritual and resonating with peace and calm.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful Lakota prayer. It has lifted my spirit this morning
and will be saved so as I can return to it.
The wisdom of the Natibe people far outstrips a hectic society.

That’s probably why marksmen are taught to squeeze the trigger at the pause. Great prayer too

Thanks Rob. Good analogy and it could also be used in archery as well.
