The camel has a single hump;
The dromedary , two;
Or else the other way around.
I’m never sure. Are you?

100 years old and having a bad hair day won’t keep Mooky from taking part in Leanne Cole and Laura Macky’s Monochrome Madness later on today. Join Mooky and check out this week’s photographs from an international collaboration of photographers graciously hosted by Leanne.

“Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises.”
Pedro Calderon de la Barca

Love is to the heart what the summer is to the farmer’s year –
it brings to harvest all the loveliest flowers of the soul. ~Author Unknown
Now sleeps the crimson petal, now the white;
Nor waves the cypress in the palace walk;
Nor winks the gold fin in the porphyry font;
The firefly wakens, waken thou with me.
Now droops the milk-white peacock like a ghost,
And like a ghost she glimmers on to me.
Now lies the Earth all Danae to the stars,
And all thy heart lies open unto me.
Now slides the silent meteor on, and leaves
A shining furrow, as thy thoughts, in me.
Now folds the lily all her sweetness up,
And slips into the bosom of the lake.
So fold thyself, my dearest, thou, and slip
Into my bosom and be lost in me.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson

“Beauty can be seen in all things, seeing and composing the beauty
is what separates the snapshot from the photograph.” – Matt Hardy
⋆ Poor Leanne, I had no idea that she hated snakes when I sent her this entry. Australia has a number of dangerous snakes so her dislike is probably prudent. Despite hating snakes she was going to close her eyes and go ahead and try to put the photo on her blog. Later on we can see if she managed to and also view all the fantastic photos submitted by all of the talented folks. For this week there may also be a few color photos that look monochrome. This marks a half year since Leanne Cole and Laura Macky began Monochrome Madness so many thanks to them.⋆

They are not long, the days of wine and roses:
Out of a misty dream
Our path emerges for a while, then closes
Within a dream.
