“With your feet I walk
I walk with your limbs
I carry forth your body
For me your mind thinks
Your voice speaks for me
Beauty is before me
And beauty is behind me
Above and below me hovers the beautiful
I am surrounded by it
I am immersed in it
In my youth I am aware of it
And in old age I shall walk quietly
The beautiful trail.”
Navajo prayer

This is so very beautiful. Such calm and total submersion with all around you.
Reading about tribal faiths in various lands always make me feel humbled.

Such a beautiful prayer and such beautiful traditions they have. I recently visited an Indian reservation in Idaho Falls ( Shoshone and Bannock) and took a half day tour exploring their culture and tradition.
A day well spent.

Beautiful and they were not savages! They had a prospering social/trading network between tribes (which they didn’t teach us about in school).
