Children of War

The Children of War are like little flowers trampled,
Young and innocent, fragile and helpless,
Surrounded by violence and rampant destruction-
Their faces are filled with doubts and fear.
The Children of War, so precious and dear,
Stripped of their childhood years, their youth stolen away
Are little Saints for human failing through no fault of their own.
The Children of War, their lives lost and scarred,
Are the world’s hopes and future wasted;
They are the cures never found, inventions never made,
Dreams unfulfilled, thoughts and ideas forever gone —
An irrational tragedy, no justification to be found.

The picture is heartbreaking and to many photos are there to prove the truth.
The poem is beautifully written and with strength speaks the truth all the way through.
Question is, when will the people in control listen?

This is indeed heartbreaking.Its the innocent people, children, women etc suffer when there is a war..those who actually don’t suffer are the ones profiting from it.

Man’s inhumanity to man, it’s always been this way and seems it always will be. Ironically the war mongers sit in ivory towers and avoid the killing and manage to protect their own children. It’s shameful.

We must be a lower life form.
Although, we believe we are higher. Rape, murder, war, pedophile priests, torture and on and on. Man is the lowest, because he has the ability to know better, and does not embrace that aptitude.
