Turtles are fascinating creatures. I had the privelage to stay along a beech were all lights facing the ocean had to be off as not to disturb the masses of turtles that came up in the dark to lay their eggs.
You could see the multitude of tracks as you came down in the morning.
Free as we all should be.

That’s pretty cool that they turned off the lights for the turtles. I’ve seen film but not in person yet of the hatchlings headed to the ocean. 🙂

Turtles are fun to watch. I recently saw one walking toward the water. They do look so serious.

I had a tortoise but sadly (this is not a joke) it escaped from our yard into the unknown 😦
