May, queen of blossoms,
And fulfilling flowers,
With what pretty music
Shall we charm the hours?
Wilt thou have pipe and reed,
Blown in the open mead?
Or to the lute give heed
In the green bowers.
Lord Edward Thurlow

Grazie. Vecchia canzone… “Ho il sole in una giornata nuvolosa
Quando fuori è freddo , ho il mese di maggio
Immagino che ci si dice
Che cosa può farmi sentire in questo modo ?
Mia ragazza…” 🙂 Un bacio e buona domenica ❤

I would love her in my garden – and the beautiful flowers, too.
A lovely poem to go hand in hand with your beautiful images…

Thank you Carolyn. Sculptures do look good in gardens, she’s called “Jazz”. 🙂

All a great welcome to the better part of Spring. I love the late 50’s and 60’s soul music: Stax/Volt, Atlantic, and early Motown. “My Girl” was one of my favorites.

Happy May Day! Beautiful photos, both are lovely. My favorite line, “May, queen of blossoms” and The Temptations a very nice surprise, you made me smile! 🙂 Please enjoy a wonderful day, I hope that you are able to make it to the hill, have a terrific time. ~ Mia 🙂

Happy May Mia! I did have a wonderful day and even more so if I made you smile. 🙂 I also made it to the hill and captured some irises. No rain but a stiff breeze made the flowers dance and so I was dancing with the irises today. Hope your Sunday was just as beautiful as your smile. 🙂 Alas, weekends go too fast.

Thank you. Delighted that you made it to the hill, a little bit of a breeze, ha-ha! 🙂 Dancing with the irises, all good! Sunday has been beautiful, thank you. The weekend definitely goes way too fast. Have a wonderful evening and a terrific Monday. *Hugs* ❤

Thank you Lola, for the kind words. You’re right, May is truly a lovely month. It’s like the whipped cream and cherry on top of Spring. 🙂
