The fiery red roses look extra stunning against the green leaves and dark rim of the photos! ❤ Excellent photos Maverick! 🙂

Sir Maverick.
Unsolicited observation, forgive the audacity. The camera doesn’t see red as we do. I have been editing color since 1987 & red just bleeds like blood. I think, (scary when i start a sentence that way, yes?) that i figured it out. As the camera sees the light spectrum slightly different than human eye does. Shadows are blue or cyan, thus we add yellow or magenta. but red… RED has tortured me for more than 20years. it wasn’t until last year, that i figured out what the camera was doing. over-saturation…b/c when we overdo, it run-ith over. so i sucked away the saturation the camera captured (Saw), until it brought me to a place where i had been, when i saw it first. ~amy of Crazy

I’ve always thought it fascinating that the camera sees colors more like they really are then we do. I know some photographers are purists and others more fantasy leaning. I sort of try to balance that fine line of what is and what should be. Over saturation is something I’ve become more conscious of recently so I’m glad you mentioned this. Your 20 years of torture has provided some helpful advice which I appreciate. Thank you Amy.
