“Curiosity is the single most important attribute with which humans are born. More than a simple desire to discover or know things, curiosity is a powerful tool, like a scalpel or a searchlight. Curiosity changes us. It is also a way to effect change, perhaps even on a global level.”
Loren Rhoads
If you’re curious, the photo above is of a lovely card I received today from fellow blogger Loren Rhoads. The newest book on my reading list is “Wish You Were Here” written by Loren. I’ve only just begun the book but I’ve already absorbed lushly written new information about cementaries that I had no knowledge of before. Loren’s a prolific writer and she also took the book cover photograph which is from Hollywood Forever. ‘She likes long walks in the moonlight and old graveyards.’
What a great book cemetery travels…

It is Christy, there’s lots of symbolism in graveyards that I wasn’t aware of.

You’re most welcome and thank you for writing this. Since much of my reading is online it’s really enjoyable having a good book to hold on a blustery winter night.

The book looks awesome. Cemeteries have so many hidden stories, I bet the title is full of historic treasures and intrigue. I love the tint of contemporary colours that come out of the image. I think modern angels with one eye faced towards the future would be sublime!

Thoroughly enjoyed the book. You visit different cemetaries world-wide by chapter and the author gives you the historical background along with their personal experiences. Tried to make the photo of the book to display here close to the original. I really like your thought of modern angels with an eye to the future, perhaps an idea for your next play Lita. 🙂
