“See how the sacred old flamingoes come,
Painting with shadow all the marble steps:
Aged and wise, they seek their wonted perches
Within the temple, devious walking, made
To wander by their melancholy minds.”
~ William Butler Yeats

Thanks Melissa and you’re welcome. The poem is an excerpt from Yeats “Crossways” – Anashuya and Vijaya. Here’s a link for you – http://www.csun.edu/~hceng029/yeats/yeatspoems/cross.html

I’m beginning to like Yeats, Maverick. And your photos are just fantastic. We don’t have flamingos here but I used to see them when I lived in Florida. I was amazed by these pink birds. Thank you! Love, Amy

I saw some great closeup flamingo photos recently but these were at a distance. Thank you and speaking of fantastic photos I’m still picturing your blazing red sunset. Wow! Have a great weekend!
