“To become a photographer leave your house first.” Steve McCurry
When I was roaming around the dark alleyways downtown these pigeons looked kind of like they should be a part of monochrome madness. All the fabulous monochrome photos will be flocking together on Leanne Cole’s blog later on today. Thanks goes to Leanne and Laura Macky for entertaining such a diverse and talented group of photographers weekly.

Can I ask you something? What is monochrome?

Basically it’s a picture/photo in black and white or processed using one varying shade of color. The affect can sometimes give a different feel/look to a picture. In photography to me it helps in “seeing” and noticing contrasts. For example, your water lily you might notice something in black and white that you might not in color. Mono —> meaning one – chrome –> meaning color. Good question because I had to get used to the term at first.
